There is a lot going on in the Reverend Entertainment universe. First I want to thank you for subscribing to these updates. With so much hitting us on social media every day, this has become a great way to stay connected and not get lost in the feed(ing) frenzy. I appreciate you and your interest in keeping up with what I am involved with. Just a couple housekeeping notes relating to this site before we get into things… I recently posted my career retrospective on George “Buck” Flower, and a piece that unveils the tributes I pay to music, films, and literature in the titles of my special features. I plan to be more active with articles like these, and I hope you enjoy.

The first quarter of 2026 has been wildly busy, and some great physical media releases that include Reverend Entertainment material have landed. Click on the links for details and where to order. All are available now, and all play in the US unless otherwise noted.
TOURIST TRAP – Umbrella gave David Schmoeller’s haunting shocker the deluxe treatment with a Blu-ray set that includes new interviews, new audio commentary, and a packed booklet, along with two versions of the film, poster reproductions, art cards, and more.
BRINGING OUT THE DEAD – Martin Scorsese’s unsung gem finally landed on 4k from Paramount in a stout release that includes new interviews I did with Scorsese, Nicolas Cage, Paul Schrader, and Bob Richardson, plus on-set interviews with cast that have never been seen before in full, behind-the-scenes footage, and more. The release I am proudest of thus far, and the transfer and audio are phenomenal.
ALLIGATOR & ALLIGATOR II: THE MUTATION – The monster double bill from Imprint includes all the special features I did for the Shout Blu-rays a few years ago.
FREAKED – Umbrella let me run wild on the long-requested 4k release of FREAKED, and the result is a ghoulishly great set featuring lots of new interviews, a comic book, stickers, a 100-page booklet, and more. It took forever to happen, but was worth the wait!
DEAD SILENCE – Shout Factory transitioned DEAD SILENCE to a nice 4k steelbook release that includes all my special features from the previous Blu-ray.
FULL MOON FRIGHT BOX VOLUME 3 – Umbrella wraps up their run of Charlie Band sets with a great box that includes PUPPET MASTER II and III, SLAVE GIRLS FROM BEYOND INFINITY, and TRANCERS. Lots of new interviews and another booklet featuring essays from Full Moon historian Nat Brehmer and me (including my career retrospective on George “Buck” Flower).
DAY OF THE WOMAN – Boxed set featuring I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE and I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE DEJA VU from Umbrella includes new interviews, booklet, posters, and more.
PIRANHA – Shout’s new 4k steelbook release that includes all my extras from their previous steelbook Blu-ray. This was a personal project for me, and includes my audio commentary with Roger Corman where we pay tribute to our then-recently passed friend Dick Miller. The post about this includes a BTS clip of Roger and me in the studio the day we did the recording, as shot by my buddy Anthony C. Ferrante (SHARKNADO).
SORORITY BABES AT THE SLIMEBALL BOWL-A-RAMA – 101 FIlms gave SORORITY BABES a solo release that includes my special features from Umbrella’s FULL MOON FRIGHT BOX VOLUME 2. This is a region B release and will not work in standard US Blu-ray players.

THE DEER HUNTER – Shout gives this Academy Award-winner a pretty new steelbook 4k release. Includes bonus material from the initial Shout Blu-ray I worked on a few years ago. Streets April 7.
PRINCE OF DARKNESS – John Carpenter’s holy hell is unleashed again in Shout’s new 4k steelbook with more stunning cover artwork and all my material from previous editions. Streets April 21.
ALLIGATOR – The ALLIGATOR love keeps on prowling with Shout’s new 4k steelbook release of the first film with truly beautiful fresh artwork and all my bonus material from previous editions. Streets May 19.
RAD – A dream project for me from Umbrella, RAD backflips onto 4k in a loaded set that includes new interviews, a booklet with new essays from Christian Bogh, Chad Michael Brown, and me that I laid out to look like a vintage BMX magazine. Also includes posters and more. NOTE: RAD can ONLY be ordered through Dead End DVD and is not available directly to the US through Umbrella. Link to order is in the post via the link. I recently posted about my love for film festivals on my social media and want to reiterate that sentiment here. Film festivals are a gateway to unfiltered art – storytelling without borders. They are often genre-diverse, format-diverse, and offer things you won’t see anywhere else. There is a rich and exciting purity to what you find at these events. Support local film festivals. I promise you will find things to love. Here are a few I will be part of this year. More to come!
The OTTUMWA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is in their second year, and I am thrilled to once again be part of ther proceedings. My pal Jason Bolinger spearheads the event and does a tremendous job with films from a wide variety of genres that run over two days. My main role with the OIFF is as a presenter during the awards ceremony on Saturday, but I will be there from front to back to enjoy all they are screening and talk shop.

HALLOWEENAPALOOZA in Ottumwa, Iowa is my absolute favorite event every October, and I am thrilled to once again be part of the spooky fun in 2026. Mike Saunders runs this circus with mastery, offering all sorts of options for horror fans including a film festival, celebrity guests, vendors, costume contests, ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW interative screening, and lots more. Just the most fun!

I appear on Cosmic Frailey’s new self-titled album, contributing some noise to the track “i hope you don’t hate this, but i understand if you do (featuring Phantom Lightkeeper)” which is available now on their Bandcamp page. Friend John Stalter is the mad mind behind CF, and has been cranking out atmospheric drone soundscapes since 2016. John is also the guy who sold me my first guitar. Available now.
WRONG TURN – Umbrella has announced they got the license on WRONG TURN, and I am hard at work on the special features to be included. Details and release date will be announced soon. Check out Umbrella HERE.
PHANTOM LIGHTKEEPER – My second album is almost finished, and I am aiming for another October release. This one is heavier and more sonically expansive than the first, and I am so excited for you to hear it. Album title, track list, and artwork will be unveiled soon, so stay tuned. GET ME ANOTHER – I looooove being on GMA, which can be found wherever you listen to podcasts. The premise is simple: Chris, Rob, and I take a Hollywood blockbuster, and over the course of ten or so episodes, we explore the films that came in its wake and tried to replicate its success. Equal parts fun and informative, GMA is a blast for film fans. We recently dropped our bonus episode on FRIDAY THE 13TH: A NEW BEGINNING, and our FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VI: JASON LIVES bonus episode lands tomorrow, Friday, March 13th! GMA on Apple Podcasts.
REMIND MAGAZINE – My monthly Roadside Memories column continues to roll in the pages of TVGuide’s Remind Magazine, where each entry spotlights a shuttered amusement park or tourist stop. SCREAM MAGAZINE – I have been quietly ramping up my contributions to the superb Scream Magazine out of the UK over recent months, and will start landing in their pages again soon. I have missed writing and am turning more attention to this, and love the relationship I have with Scream editor Rich who never bats an eye at my crazy pitches. More on Scream HERE.
THE JUSTIN BEAHM RADIO HOUR RETURNS – After a year of time-demanding chaos, I am bringing The Radio Hour back this month. You can subscribe to the show wherever you listen to pods, and I will post here and on my socials when new episodes land.
NEW BOOK – Last year around this time I released Roadside Memories: Beloved and Bizarre Attracations from North America’s Past, which was the soft re-launch of Crestwood House publishing, which I am tremendously excited to be breathing new life into after a lifetime of loving the brand. Crestwood is taking time to get into the form I intend it to have, but to keep the engine warm I am excited to announce I am at work on a new book – the first in a series collecting the hundreds of interviews I have conducted over the years. Between the magazines (Fangoria, Famous Monsters of Filmland, Horrorhound, Rue Morgue, Scream, etc.) and all the video stuff, I have a huge archive to pull from, and will be presenting conversations uncut, along with the stories behind their happening. With all these interviews being landlocked in print back issues and on physical media releases makes it hard to track them all down, so it will be nice to bring them all together in these volumes to preserve them in one place. As of now I am just announcing this here, but stay on the lookout for a press release and full details in the coming months.
