KING KONG COLLECTOR’S EDITION FEATURES UNVEILED

by | Mar 26, 2021

Shout! Factory’s colossal Collector’s Edition of KING KONG (1976) stomps onto shelves May 11 and includes new special features from my Reverend Entertainment. The discussions had for this release are treaures, as this movie was the point of inception for so many relationships and a launchpad for the careers of many. Of particluar interest is the feature-length commentary featuring effects maestro Rick Baker, who played Kong in the film at an early point in his career. This piece was originally intended for an on-camera interview, but got so in-depth, so good, and was so dense with stories that I transitioned it to a commentary track to preserve it all. You can pre-order KING KONG at ShoutFactory.com and everywhere else you get your discs.
