Last year I did a presentation at the wonderful Alternating Currents (all free) multi-day film, comedy, and music festival in the Quad Cities. The day after my presentation I was on a panel with Joe Pickett (Found Footage Festival) and Scott Miller (Strange Tapes zine), and the three of us hit it off immediately. We had a blast, and started discussing doing something together because our rapport was just so awesome. That time has come, and I am excited to announce this year we will be premering VHS IN THE MIDWEST as part of AC on Thursday, August 13th at 9pm on the rooftop of The Last Picture House. Hilarious found video from the Central states and our idiocy are sure to offer you a fun night. We are also doing a panel on Friday, Aug 14th at 5:15pm (also at Last Picture House). AC is a completely free event that takes over every available venue in the QC every year, and they have a great app you can download from their site to help navigate all that is happening.
