I am excited to be making my annual pilgrimage to Ottumwa, Iowa this October 10-11 for Halloweenapalooza, Iowa’s premiere horror convention and film festival brought to you by Prescribed Films maestros Mike Saunders and Jason Bolinger (Attack of the Killer Podcast, Cracktastic Plastic podcast). With this year’s theme and guests being FRIGHT NIGHT, I will be doing a presentation on the history of vampire films in addition to manning my booth where I will have movies, magazines, books, and albums for sale. 2025’s celebrities will be FRIGHT NIGHT icons Amanda Bearse, William Ragsdale, and Stephen Geoffreys. In addition to the films running over both days, there will be a zombie walk, costume contest, vendors, and Mike Saunders’ legendary late night ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW interactive screening. Other presenters include Derry Public Radio, performance artist Sam Rezz, and Carrsan T Morrissey. Halloweenapalooza is always an absolute blast, and I hope to see you there!
Tickets are available in advance and at the door at the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa. Doors open at 5pm on the 10th.
